Watches have fascinated men throughout the decades. 1980s Casios are now collector items. Who would have thought?

Imagine only a few hundred years ago and no human would have considered collecting watches. In fact, there would have been no watches to collect!
Nowadays men and women like to collect discrete vintage watches or large chunky style watches. Lately men have been more inclined to want to sport a slim model of a watch that isn’t quite as much of a show piece as a statement of his assured confidence. How society changes!
Men care about their watches and they spend time thinking about them. Especially when purchasing a fine watch as a statement of their individuality. Not always in the budget but an item to be fantasized about.

It simple to assume a mobile or cell phone may provide same or similar use as a watch. For men there is more to a watch than just the time factor. Also the wrist is one of those parts of a man that a woman will notice along with his eyes, hair and muscles – but that’s getting right off the point. A nice jewelry pieces advertising a man’s assets – his aforearms that is – okay not going there again! We have to remember that men until very recently only wore watches and cuff links as their major items of jewelry. Today there are a multitude of jewelry and other devices to choose between.

These items of jewelry and electronic devices can say something about a man and what he chooses to wear can influence his future success or failure in life. Styles change over time. It used to be big, bold, diamonds and overly glitzy clunky, nowadays it’s simple, practical and elegant and tomorrow it’s likely to be something else.
A watch is one of the first things people look at whether consciously or unconsciously. If you are wearing a cheap imported watch, someone’s going to notice. If however you are wearing any of the fake watches Rolex Day-Date or others they will be unlikely to take a second look because they will assume it’s a Rolex.

The only question in their minds after that is, “How much is this guy worth?”
